... among tens of thousands of "online dating services for Christian singles?"

The Dilemma :

There are ten thousand or more so-called "online christian dating services" on the World Wide Web. Every one of them (except one) is pretty much identical:

Hundreds (thousands in some cases) of profiles and photographs of "christians"
(various definitions) worldwide.
Members get to initiate electronic messages to those they are potentially
attracted to.
Then wait for a response.

That's called online dating :) And there's nothing wrong with that. But a few years into our more-than-a-decade of working with relationship-ready, emotionally healthy single Christians at the local, regional and national level, we began to ask a question ...

Our Question :

"What would GOD want?"

"If God came down and launched a website for His single followers here in the United States, would it really be a DATING service? Is THAT His highest priority for us?" (To be sure, for us single Christians, one of our highest priorities is to meet the person He has for us to spend the rest of our lives with when the time is right.) "But is that HIS priority?" we asked.

Our answer to the question, "Is God's highest priority for us single Christians to meet the person He has for us for life?" -- after pondering the Word regarding how He has interacted with humans throughout redemptive history -- was this:

Our Answer :

"No." (Aaarrgh.) By the way, if you come up with a better place for us to ponder, let us know :)

Our Strategy :

So we tried to imagine Gods' priorities for the 50 to 100,000,000 of us U.S. single adults who'd call ourselves "Christians." We tried to put ourselves in His place (as dangerous as that can be.) And here's what we came up with:

God wants us to FOLLOW HIM into the rich, eternal, abundant life which begins once we drop our nets (and pick up His cross.)
Then, what that has looked like for the past 6,000 years or so is to SERVE OTHERS with no strings attached. God has been SERVING OTHERS -- humans -- no strings attached -- since the Garden. (Then again, in A.D. 30-33, that's what did He did for the three years He was down here in sandals and a robe ... SERVE OTHERS.)
THEN (finally :) we concluded that God wants us to MEET the person He has for us. (Because He brought Adam and Eve together and said it was not good for man to be alone, right? :)

Our Conclusion :

Summary: God's priorities for us: BECOME the people He wants us to become, SERVE the people He wants us to serve, and MEET the person He wants us to meet.

So ... SinglesOfFaith.Com exists so that tens of millions of us might participate with God in His desire for us to :

MEET the person He has for us to MEET,
once both we and our future partner are fully relationship-ready
while BECOMING the person He has for us to BECOME,
through relationship skills training and personal spiritual growth modules
( because until we are where He wants us to be, NEITHER of us are
ready to meet the other, ) and
in the midst of SERVING the people He has for us to SERVE
through community service workdays for single Christians nationwide
( because God knows that REAL abundant life only happens when we
start getting our eyes off ourselves )

So ... if you're okay with online dating that's VANILLA (nothing wrong with vanilla!) you've got tens of thousands of internet dating choices. :) But if you want internet dating that's more, then ...
